This contract has been developed in order for the State of Alabama to comply with the
U.S. Federal Energy Policy Act of 1992. This law is intended to reduce the dependence on
imported oil by encouraging the use of domestic fuels. The act has mandates and incentives
for using alternative fuels. To determine your requirements contact the Department of
Energy, Alternative Fuel, Washington, D.C. Attn: Ken Katz at (202)586-6116 or contact the
University of Alabama, Alabama Alternative Fuels Program at 1-800-501-FUEL.
The contract ending date can be misleading if you do not understand the
terms and conditions. This contract is for Model Year Only and the manufacturer
determines the actual ending date.
